My Story

Called from Darkness into Marvelous Light

My name is Patrick Dibble. I work as a pastoral resident at First Baptist Church of Scituate, MA and I am in a season of ministry preparation. At the same time, I am striving to help others grow toward maturity in Christ.

Though I grew up hearing the gospel, it took a long time for me to grasp Christ’s calling on my life. I thought that being a Christian meant being a relatively good person. Then I was confronted with the reality of the resurrection. I finally saw that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection had implications for every aspect of my life. I want to help others experience the joys of walking in the light of Christ.

A Pattern of Discipleship that Works for Real People

Biblically Based

Meaningful discipleship is driven by the Word of God. As Paul said to Timothy, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:16–17).

Practical for Everyday Life

Meaningful discipleship must be able to work within the context of real life. The goal of this website is to offer practical application of discipleship principles without deminishing Christ’s call to lay down our lives and follow him (Lk 9:23).

Striving for Maturity in Christ
